The purpose of this study is to explore the impact mechanism between high performance work system (HPWS) and corporate entrepreneurship (CE) through cross-level analyses. Human capital (HC) was chosen as the mediator, network Ties (NT) was chosen as the moderator. In this study, two versions of questionnaires were used: manager version and non-manager version. Data collected from multiple resources involving 95 managers and 205 non-managers belonging to 17 companies and 39 units. Using hierarchical linear models (HLM) for data analyses, the result indicated that: human capital (HC) had mediating effects on the relationship between high performance work system (HPWS) and corporate entrepreneurship (CE), and network ties (NT) had moderating effects on the relationship between human capital (HC) and corporate entrepreneurship (CE).
