This thesis explores the impact of music manipulation on the understanding and creativity self-efficacy of individuals under the calm and excitement. In Study 1, we found that personal comprehension is highly correlated with creativity self-efficacy. It also shows that under the calm emotions of Eastern culture, the understanding is high, and individuals will suppress their creativity and self-efficacy because of “humility”, while the less calmer is their creativity self-efficacy is not inhibited by “humility”. Through Study 2, we have confirmed that compared with excitement, understanding under calm emotion can significantly enhance the confidence of individuals in their creativity. In order to make individual understanding influence the creativity and self-efficacy, we must create the environment as a calm mood. However, in the special environment of oriental culture, in order to avoid creativity self-efficacy inhibited by the “humility” under calm emotion, we suggest that managers in Eastern culture want their employees to be creative, should give employees emotional incentives from time to time to maintain their creativity self-efficacy so that their creativity can be played normally.
