本研究主要探討BS 18004:2008標準條文之內容，並針對其建議事項輔以圖表加以解說，讓使用者容易了解BS 18004:2008標準。
本研究藉由回顧國際職業安全衛生標準的發展，了解BS 18004:2008標準與其他職業安全衛生標準/指引之關聯性，以及BS 18004:2008標準的重要性。BS 18004:2008標準之職業安全衛生管理系統以PDCA管理循環方式運作，本研究歸納規劃(Plan)、實施與運作(Do)、檢查(Check)以及績效審查(Act)等階段之細部流程，並將其內容有關聯之部分與OHSAS 18001:2007、OHSAS 18002:2008以及BS 8800:2004等標準相互說明比較。最後將所有標準要項之關聯繪成圖以協助使用者易於了解其關聯性，並依BS 18004:2008標準之建議事項改善職業安全衛生管理系統，有效提升其職業安全衛生績效。

This study focused on the content of BS 18004:2008 standard provisions, and for their suggestions to be explained with diagrams and tables, allowing
users to easily understand the BS 18004:2008 standard.
This research study was to review the development of occupational safety and health standards, understand the BS 18004:2008 Standard and other occupational safety and health standards/guidelines on the relevance and
importance of BS 18004:2008 standard.
BS 18004:2008 standards, occupational safety and health management systems operate with PDCA management cycle, this research concludes planning (Plan), implementation and operation (Do), checking (Check), performance review (Act) as well as other stages of the detailed processes and compares the associated portions of content with OHSAS 18001:2007,
OHSAS 18002:2008 and BS 8800:2004.
Finally, the association of all the standard items is mapped to help users to understand the relevance of all the standards items easily, and in accordance with BS 18004: 2008 standard recommendations to improve occupational health and safety management system, and enhance their occupational safety
and health performance.
