  • 隨著科技的進步,動態圖像設計(Motion Graphics)的應用範圍越來越廣泛,從日常的網路影片至各大典禮視覺都會使用到此表現手法,透過強烈的視覺風格與流暢多變的動態,能讓觀者印象深刻,然而要形成優秀的動態圖像設計作品,「轉場」在其中占了舉足輕重的角色。好的轉場能讓整個影片變得更加流暢,並且加快敘事的節奏,而在上下鏡頭間的銜接,透過創作者的巧思設計下,轉場的組合有了千變萬化。在本創作研究中,透過文獻探討,先整理了動態圖像設計的原理及應用,將轉場的方式分類成「移動、佔滿、局部、跳接、變形」等五種手法,進行表現手法分析以及經典案例探討,並將其應用在後續動畫創作上。以本創作2D動畫短片「The Taxi」為主軸,敘述從一開始的前期發想,選擇較抽象的題材,探討自由與希望的嚮往,並規劃將主題與動態圖像設計創作手法契合。再來到了製作階段,利用分鏡設計畫面及鏡頭間的轉場,構思後續呈現的方式,以及整部動畫的美術設定,包括角色、場景設計及色彩規劃,讓整部作品風格連貫。最後到了動態的階段,除了完成整部動畫,整理製作的過程,並將此作品中所應用的轉場組合進行分析及統整,呼應文獻探討提到的轉場手法,了解此五種轉場方式如何應用在本創作當中,呈現出不同的敘事效果,並說明鏡頭間是如何做轉換,以及發想上的過程,在掌握整體動態節奏的同時,也能呈現作品中的視覺意象。而此創作研究的過程,讓我對動態圖像設計及轉場有了更多的認識與應用,以利於後續的創作當中。


    The advance of technology broadens the application of motion graphics, such an expression technique is applied from daily online videos to distinct ceremony visual design. The strong visual style and smooth & changeable dynamics impress audience. To form excellent motion graphics works, "Transition" presents a primary character.Good transition could smoothen the entire film and accelerate the narrative rhythm. Through creators’ ingenious design can make changeable transition combinations. In this design study, the principle and application of motion graphics are first organized through literature review. The transition technique is classified into “Moving, Filling, Transforming, Jump Cut, and Morphing” for expression technique analysis and classic case discussion and further applied to successive animation creation. The 2D animation short film, "The Taxi", is the axis of this creation. Starting from the early concept development, more abstract themes are selected, the desire for freedom and hope is discussed, and the topic is matched with motion graphics creation technique. In the production phase, the transition between display and shot is designed with storyboard to conceive successive presentation and the art setting of the entire animation, including character, layout design, and color planning, to cohere the work style. In the dynamic phase, the entire animation is completed, the production process is organized, and the applied transition combinations to this work are analyzed and integrated to correspond to the classic transition techniques. This thesis describes how I apply these five transition techniques to this film to present distinct narrative effect. This thesis also explains the conversion between shots and the concept development process so that the visual imagery of the work is displayed when grasping the entire dynamic rhythm. Through the thesis-making process, further usage and development of transitions in motion graphics are discovered and deemed as a booster in my future works.
