牙醫用的鑽石牙鑽最常使用硬銲方式製造,而本研究設計出模具製程及灑粉製程的牙鑽,於900℃燒結後對進行對玻璃的切削研磨測試。於拉曼檢測結果顯,灑粉製程牙鑽表面部分出現鑽石出現石墨化的情況,模具製程並沒有出現鑽石石墨化情形,根據磨耗比測試發現模具製程牙鑽明顯優於灑粉牙鑽,而模具製程程中50%(Cu-30Sn-10Ti)50%Diamond為最佳比例及使用壽命。


Green diamond dental burs, using Cu-20Sn-10Ti as the binding matrix, were fabricated by two different routes, including spraying diamond grits on the top of the binding matrix powder and die-molding the diamond grits and binding matrix powder. The green diamond dental burs were then sintered at 900℃ in vacuum. The sintered diamond dental burs were then used to grind glass.

Raman spectra indicated that the diamond grits in the diamond dental bur made by spraying diamond grits route showed a portion of the diamond grits transformed graphite, while no such transformation was observed for the die-molded dental burs. Such a difference arises from the facts that the diamond grits were partially covered by the binding matrix in the sprayed dental burs and fully covered by the binding matrix in the die-molded ones,

Accordingly, the grinding ratio of the sprayed diamond dental bur is inferior to those of die-molded ones. It was also observed that a volume ratio of 5 diamond grit to 5 binding matrix yielded the highest grinding ratio.
