2014年中國大環境改變,東莞鞋廠開始出現倒閉潮,個案公司外部面臨著東莞工資大幅調漲、人民幣匯率走强及缺工等因素,內部面臨客人訂單轉移的危機?個案公司在內憂外患下,思考著是要在轉型扎根?還是追逐低成本,將工廠轉移到東南亞?當時個案公司處在逆境,如果您是個案公司總經理,您將會採取什麼策略性管理措施,以協助公司調整經營體質,渡過難關,解決經營難題呢?
本個案以哈佛式個案撰寫,論文包括個案本文和教師教學指引手冊兩部分。透過教師引導以個案中實例探討:扁平化組織、精實生產、組織雙元性及學習型組織等管理議題,並精益求精持續改善鞋廠的內部管理,期望本個案論文可做爲存在相似問題企業的經營參考。
Due to the environmental change in China in 2014, the shoes makers in Dongguan went bankrupt one after another. This client was facing the challenges both from outside and inside the company.
The external challenges were like, challenges of sharply rising wages, appreciation of RMB, and labor shortage, etc. The risk of losing customers’ orders has been one of the internal challenges. Under both challenges, this client was thinking to either change the business direction or move the factory to south Asia for manufacturing cost down.
At that time, the client was in difficult situation. If you were the CEO of this client, what kind of actions would you take to turn the company around and overcome the difficulties?
This case study is written by Harvard case study method. This paper includes case study the Article and the "Teaching Note". Through the instructor's guidance, the following management topics with the case study will be analyzed and discussed such as flat organization, lean production, organizational ambidexterity, learning organization.
Moreover, the management inside the shoes makes would be improved continually. I hope this case study paper could be considered as the management reference for the business which has similar issues.
