早期臺灣小型公司林立，曾經帶來經濟的繁榮。然而在產業升級後，因為技術、資本集中，家庭式工業很難續存，因此較具組織規模的中小企業興起，更奠定了台灣經濟奇蹟的基礎。近年來面對中國大陸與東南亞國家開放政策，提供廉價勞力與土地成本吸引企業投資，相對的使台灣本土企業深受成本高漲、低價市場影響，面臨極大的競爭與挑戰。在產品開發、生產、銷售和物流的時程都需要極度緊縮，傳統的管理模式不足以因應資本市場局勢變化，企業領導者應如何改變舊思維接受創新觀念，又該如何引導資深員工改變既有的行為模式，將決定企業興衰與未來發展。
豐田生產方式最重要的兩大主軸就是「及時化」與「自働化」。精實生產係從豐田生產系統方式衍生而來，為各種類型的組織和市場，開創價值和品質的革新思想系統，以達到精實企業體的目標。精實生產可分成五大步驟：定義價值、確認價值流、暢流、後拉式生產及完善。本文主在描述個案公司如何利用精實生產活動來提升企業的競爭力，將生產效力不彰、瀕臨倒閉的公司可以起死回生。期望藉由本研究個案豐田模式的成功，推展精實生產的觀念，幫助小型企業於各階段管理思維的創新，減少無形與有形的浪費，企業可以在不需滬入大額資金的前提下，能夠從現有的設備環境中做改善，降低製造成本，突破困境提升競爭力。

Small sized companies that once brought economic prosperity were everywhere in the early days. However, following industrial upgrading, intensive technology and capital concentration made it difficult for family industries to survive, thus giving rise to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that laid the foundation for Taiwan's economic miracle. In the face of the opening-up policy in China and Southeastern countries in recent years, cheap labor and land costs have been provided to attract business investment, which have deeply affected local enterprises in Taiwan due to rising costs and low-price markets. As a result, these enterprises have faced stiff competition and challenges. In product development, production, sales, and logistics, schedules have been greatly tightened, while the traditional management model is insufficient for coping with changes in the capital markets. How enterprise leaders change their old ways of thinking, accept new concepts and how they guide senior staff to change their existing behavioral modes, will determine the success of enterprises and their future development.

The two most important focuses of Toyota's production system are "Just in time (JIT)" and "automation". Lean production is derived from Toyota's production system method to create the innovative ideas system of value and quality for the various types of organizations and markets, thereby achieving the goal of lean enterprises. Lean production can be divided into five steps: definition of value, confirmation of value stream, smooth flow, pull-type production, and perfection. This article describes the main case in how companies use lean production activities to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises, the ineffective production, companies can revive moribund.The study case in this research intends to promote the concept of lean production through the success of Toyota's success model, thus helping small sized enterprises to innovate in the various stages of management and to reduce both intangible and tangible waste. Enterprises will be able to make improvements through their existing equipment without having to invest a large sum of capital, reduce manufacturing costs, overcome difficulties, and enhance competitiveness.
