從電腦發明到現在,人們對於電腦依賴程度與使用時間上都是呈現愈來愈重要的趨勢,電腦的使用已是現今人們很重要的一項現代工具,而滑鼠的使用是在人與電腦介面之間最重要的輸入裝置,過去也有許多與滑鼠使用相關的研究,但卻很少對不同左手慣用傾向程度的使用者使用滑鼠的了解,所以本研究想透過實驗的方法來了解左手慣用者的特性。
本研究是改變滑鼠使用手、游標方向、主要控制鍵與八種不同的移動角度,對左手慣用者的完成時間、反應時間和移動時間的影響,實驗總共招募的11位左手慣用者,並依慣用滑鼠使用手與慣用傾向程度的方式分類,將11名受試者分成三類,1.左負分:這類的受試者是慣用左手使用滑鼠且慣用左手傾向很高;2.右負分.:這類的受試者是慣用右手使用滑鼠且慣用左手傾向較高;3.左正分:這類的受試者是慣用右手使用滑鼠且慣用左手傾向較低,實驗完的結果發現,如果受試者使用慣用的那隻手操作滑鼠會有較短的反應時間,這樣的結果無論是慣用右手或左手使用滑鼠都是如此,而左負分這類受試者在反應時間上的表現明顯比另外兩組受試者更短,而且無論是在左手或是右手使用滑鼠都是如此,而在移動時間方面,左負分的受試者在左手使用滑鼠的情況下,明顯的優於另外兩組受試者,而在右手使用滑鼠的情況下,只稍微的比右正分的受試者差一點點。
本研究貢獻在於發現,改變滑鼠的游標方向與控制鍵的配置,對左手慣用者的影響並不顯著,但若讓左手慣用者使用他們的慣用的左手,可以得到較好的使用績效。


Since the invention of the computer people dependent on the computer is more important. Now people using of computers is important. The mouse is the most important input devices between human and computer interface. In the past there were many studies related to the mouse use. But no studies about degree of preferred tendency of left-handed mouse users. Therefore, this study is to understand the characteristics of left-handers through the experimental.
This study was change the use of hand, the cursor orientation, button location and eight target positions, impact of left-handers’s total time, reaction time and movement time. There are 11 subjects in this study. The 11 subjects are left-handers. They were divided into three categories. 1. Left hand and negative: the subjects is using mouse by left hand and laterality quotient is negative. 2. Right hand and negative: the subjects is using mouse by right hand and laterality quotient is negative. 3. Right hand and positive: the subjects is using mouse by right hand and laterality quotient is positive. Experimental results show that subject use mouse by preferred hand to have shorter reaction time. Left hand and negative subject’s reaction time shorter than other two category subject significantly. In terms of movement time, left hand and negative subject’s movement time shorter than other two category subject significantly, when they using mouse by left hand.
Contribution of this study is to find the effect of changing cursor orientation and button location is not significant for left-hander. But if left hander will get better Performance when they using mouse by left hand.
