本文主要的研究以個案公司為例，探討目前金融業實務上針對區塊鏈技術的技術背景與發展現狀；投資、研發及應用區塊鏈技術的初衷及營運策略；實務上投資、研發及應用區塊鏈的方法；預期區塊鏈技術所帶來的效益；在投資、研發及應用區塊鏈技術時面臨的挑戰及解決辦法；以及最後對於區塊鏈技術的未來規劃。
本文以個案研究法了解區塊鏈技術應用於金融業的實務情況。透過相關文獻探討與網路資料統籌的整理，及經由訪談個案研究對象後所彙整的結果，了解金融業在實務上如何與區塊鏈連結。
本研究之研究結論如下：
一、 各國區塊鏈技術的發展聲浪高漲，正式上路勢在必得。
二、 若成為主流，區塊鏈將會大幅改寫整個金融業的商業模式。
三、 理論上的應用面非常廣泛，實務面卻面臨非常多挑戰。
四、 國內金融業發展區塊鏈仍屬保守。

The main objective of this research is to explore the application of blockchain technology in the current financial industry, including the background and the current status of development of the technology; the motivation, operational strategy and practical approach of investing, developing and implementing this technology; the expected benefits of the technology; the challenges that the observed company faces, and how it plans to resolve the challenges; and finally, the future plans of the observed company regarding the blockchain technology.
This dissertation would help us understand the application of block chain technology applied in the financial industry using case study approach, through literature research, information gathered on the internet and interview with the observed company.
The conclusions of this study are as the following:
1. The development of blockchain is prevailing globally, the day it would be launched in the financial industry is a matter of time.
2. If blockchain becomes the mainstream, it will significantly rewrite the business model of the entire financial industry.
3. Although blockchain can be theoretically put into practice in a very wide range, but in practice it faces many challenges and difficulties.
4. The domestic financial industry is still conservative regarding the development of the blockchain.
