  • Firms are evolving in a constant evolving environment and have to handle more issues as they get bigger. Managing their Corporate Social responsibility is one of the biggest concerns they have to face. Pressure is coming from different actors and is getting more and more stronger, from stakeholders, consumers, NGOs or governments in aim to push the firms to be the most sustainable. However, firms have to conciliate this matter with their number one objective which is to make profit. With an increasing competition and pressure coming from a lot of different actors, managers have to find a way to balance everything while staying profitable. CSR policies not only concern the environmental aspect but also the social one.

The Supply Chain management has a central role in the value of creation of a company, and if well managed and sustainable, it can help to get through all these constraints and can be the key of success for a firm. Therefore, the bigger will be the firm, the bigger will be the organization, and then the more difficult it will be for the firm to be sure that its sustainable strategies will be applied from the top to the bottom of the organization. We are therefore going to study organisational changes caused by the implementation of sustainable Supply Chain within the firm as well as to try to know if the CSR policies, firstly perceived as a constraint for firms, can turn out to be source of competitive advantage.
