This study extends the analysis of current research and practices in Knowledge Management and how it could influence a company competitive advantage, the research aims to define what is knowledge management, explore knowledge management components and its role at managing information, the research also provides some findings of other researchers and, finally the study concludes with some expert’s recommendation.
It applies an exploratory methodology for a better comprehension of the phenomenon due to its subject nature, the study also adopts a systematic literature review approach, focused on Knowledge Management components and practices, supported by two experts’ points of view. Some of the significant results are the dimension in Knowledge Management (Sharing-Knowledge Culture, Segmentation, Information System Management, and retrieving), and the Knowledge Management role in Human capital.
The study focuses only on exploring other research in Knowledge Management and limit the study of Knowledge Management components based on the model proposed by Dilip Bhatt, other components or model of Knowledge Management has not been included in this study.
