企業隨著科技與時代演進,面臨著越來越大的網絡威脅和數據洩露風險;也隨著互聯網的發展,網絡存儲和傳輸的數據量呈爆炸式增長,這使得企業必須優先考慮資訊安全以保護其敏感信息、知識產權和金融資產。
個案公司曾經以為只需要專注研發越來越高效能的硬體設備就足以因應數位時代的資訊革命;然而資安議題不再只是比較設備的功能,取而代之的是如何呈現解決方案的整體效益。個案公司該如何在資安意識薄弱的時代,主動結盟代理商與經銷商們進行銷售推廣,亦或培養內部專業資安研發人才,為在台灣立足做準備?除此之外,為了要在資安產業搶先機,不僅要與時間賽跑,還需要強力的技術資源後盾;而且真正的蛻變應該跳脫有的核心,創造新的商業模式。個案公司又將如何化危機為轉機,在資訊不透通的艱難環境、且對抗不斷湧現的競爭者,在資安產業中持續進行蛻變。
本論文以哈佛個案方式進行,可用於討論資訊安全、商業模式、組織靈巧性及企業社會責任議題。了解個案公司如何透過對資安產業掌握,進行突破性蛻變,且合縱連橫商業夥伴們的策略合作,發展適宜的商業模式,達到且維持資安業界領導者的地位;希望藉以此個案的經驗學習,對社會大眾有所些微的貢獻。
As technology and society evolve, businesses face increasingly large network threats and data leakage risks. With the explosive growth of data storage and transmission over the internet, enterprises must prioritize information security to protect their sensitive information, intellectual property, and financial assets.
A case study once thought that focusing on developing more efficient hardware equipment was sufficient to address the information revolution of the digital age. However, during the process of expansion, it encountered numerous challenges. In this era of weak information security awareness, how can they proactively partner with agents and distributors for sales promotion or cultivate internal professional cybersecurity R&D talent to prepare for its foothold in Taiwan? In addition, to gain an advantage in the cybersecurity industry, it not only needs to race against time but also requires robust technical resources as support. True transformation should go beyond the core and create new business models. How will they turn crises into opportunities and continue to transform in the challenging environment of opaque information and competition in the cybersecurity industry?
This case study is conducted in the Harvard case study approach and can be used to discuss issues of information security, business models, Ambidexterity, and corporate social responsibility. We hope that by learning from the experience of this case, it can make a slight contribution to the public.
