由於現今通訊系統以及寬頻網路的進步， 使得手持式裝置如手機或PDA (個人數位助理) 已經成為不可或缺的現代工具之一，也促使利用手持行動裝置，結合無線網路的遠端監控應用越來越多，特別是遠距醫療、居家保全、遠端居家看護、家電自動化監控等應用，有別於傳統監控系統中佈線及遠端監控的困難，未來數位家庭中的構成模式是利用各種網路連線設備，將家中的各種裝置，如電腦、影音設備、保全設施、家電等等串接在一起而形成一個區域網路，這個區域網路可經由一部中央網路伺服器與家庭閘道器連結網際網路，讓區域網路內的設備能與網際網路上的設備或使用者互相進行交換資料、輸入、輸出與處理信號的動作，以達到家庭網路智慧化目的。
本篇論文以 PC 為監控中心，利用 ZigBee 技術實現無線監控如防盜、門禁、保全警報事件，User client 端以ATMEL公司AT91Sam9263開發板及TI公司CC2430開發板為架構並以Embedded linux 開發作為系統核心及zigbee事件監控 ，透過以WiFi傳輸ZigBee監控結果及Web Camera即時影像並結合Qt圖形介面在9263 EK 螢幕實現監控功能。

Due to rapid progress of communication system and broadband network nowadays had made the handheld device as Mobile phone or PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) became indispensable contemporary tools. To meet the demands of data communication, remote monitoring applications that combined handheld device and wireless networking, such as Healthcare, home security, home care system and home appliance had been designed progressively.

Unlike the traditional monitoring system, which is difficult to route and operate, the structure of future digital home will allow a variety of networking equipments to connect devices like personal computer, Audio/Video, Security, and Home Appliance as a Local Area Network.This Network is emphasized to connect to the internet through a central server and home gateway, which is able to exchange information, data and so on to achieve smart home networking purpose.

In this paper we use personal computer as surveillance center server and zibgee technology to implement wireless antitheft, entry access system and security events.
In user client we base ATMEL AT91sam9263 and TI CC2430 evaluation kit to develop embedded Linux OS and zigbee event monitor system. Zigbee event and webcam real-time image transmitted by wifi then combined on Qt GUI in 9263EK LCD to implement real-time monitor functions.
