透過《Watch》、《Horrible》兩部動畫短片的創作流程,學習3D動畫製作技能,除了基本的建模、貼圖、架設骨架、動作調整、算圖等步驟,並以其他相關軟體與外掛搭配製作,以達到預期規劃。多方的研究及探討,並以經驗結合學習之技能,解決當下所遭遇的問題。
《Horrible》劇情大綱:小蟲不斷的驚險逃過每個天敵的捕捉,但最後終究掉入一個可怕的空間中,小蟲在謎樣的空間,以自我認知去想像被某種可怕的怪物咀嚼。在這未知的世界裡,對於小蟲是非常可怕的遭遇,甚至在感受到可怕的意識之前就失去了生命...。
《Watch》劇情大綱:人們收藏歷史悠久的古董,但相較於古董,人們往往只是暫時持有者,人與古董,誰才是真正的被收藏者?故事中懷錶見證時代滄桑,經歷世代傳承,從懷錶的角度,重新審視了人們透過懷錶╱古董所寄託的重心,不外是情感的記憶,懷錶(Watch)於是兼具了觀看、守護、時間流轉,與情感載體的多重意義。
這兩部作品皆以純動畫的方式製作,與大學時期的實景合成創作較為不同,雖然同樣是製作3D物件,但在製作方法與流程上有許多的差異性。本人並無特定的創作方式,皆依創作性質作為媒材的關鍵,而實拍與3D動畫是本人主要的創作技能,日後若有機會希望能嘗試不同的創作媒材,如手繪動畫、偶動畫、沙動畫等等。
Through the whole process of these two short films Watch and Horrible, I learned technics of producing 3D animations including basic modeling, mapping, rigging, animating, and rendering. I also produced with related softwares and plug-ins to achieve the expected planning, while solving problems encountered immediately by multiple research and investigation combined with experience and all skills learned.
“Horrible” synopsis:A bug constantly escapes from the enemy's chasing. Finally, it has fallen into a horrible space. The bug imagines that it would be masticated by the monsters with its self-cognition. However, it's just the common case we usually meet in this world. Furthermore, it's more terrific for the bug; it even loses its life before it senses the danger...
“Watch” synopsis:People like to collect antiques, however we only possess them for a short amount of time before they are passed on to others. This brings about the question of whether we really are the collectors, or the collected?
In this film the watch witnesses the history and passage of different generations. Thus the watch not only records the flow of time, but also carries our emotions from past to present.
Different from the works of virtual synthesis in college, these two works were made of pure animation. Although it is the same to make 3D objects, there are still lots of differences in producing and processing. I myself don’t have specific way to do the work; the key of media depends on the characteristic of the work. Live-action shooting and 3D animation are still my main skills, and I will try to use different media such as painted animation, puppetry animation, and sand animation and so on if there is any chance.
