Understanding the learning mechanism of how organization exploit and utilize the acquired knowledge sheds light on the way organization explore opportunities, and this research further addresses this phenomenon in the unit level perspective. In pursuit of better organization performance, entrepreneurial orientation(EO) has become an indispensable predictor. Yet EO scholars has left ambiguous link between EO and performance, which led knowledge management(KM) and empowerment climate(EC) to be more valuable in terms of echoing previous research gap.
Using an original data set of 31 enterprises, and data were collected by sending out questionnaire. By conducting hierarchical linear model and structural equation model, we found the mediation effect of EO was significant supported, moreover, the link between KM and EO was positively moderated by EC. Overall, the findings contribute to future research in comprehending the important role of EP in facilitating organization in opportunity exploration.
