本個案論文主要在探討藉由新產品研發專案管理團隊以提升公司整體效率,並經由新產品研發周期作量化驗證。個案架構以專案管理為主軸探討,分為個體、流程、系統三大部分進行研究。其中,有關個體方面,探討專案管理人的人格特質及知識與專業的學習;流程方面,探討新產品開發流程,檢視是否有加值、非加值或浪費的流程,俾作流程改善,縮短研發開發週期;系統方面,除了藉由流程、知識系統模組化,加快專案管理的成熟度外,並藉由系統讓流程穩健進行。本個案論文探討過程中,將會針對專案管理中特別重要的幾項議題,加以延伸討論,包括:領導與變革、企業流程再造及績效管理,到知識平台的管理,確保後續新人訓練,可以在最短的時間上手。本個案探討過程中,發現到專案管理人,應為數據分析師,讓系統協助作有效的管理。透過資訊的分析,可以讓專案組員針對問題,作迅速反應,提升公司整體的效率。
This case study explores improving overall company efficiency thorough the establishment of a project development management team, and ultimately weighs the effectiveness of the theories provided through actual product development time metrics. With an overall focus on project management, the personnel, process, and systems of individual case projects will be explored and analyzed. From the personnel perspective, this study will evaluate the necessary personality traits, knowledge base, and professional training of a Program Manager. On the process side this study will analyze the value of new product development processes--whether a new process adds, subtracts organizational value, or if the process wastes resources and needs to be changed to shorten development times. As for the systems side, the study will touch on the use of modular knowledge bases and process systems to ensure process maturity and robustness. In addition to these important issues, the case study will also seek to extend the discussion to cover important organizational issues such as leadership and change, business model changes, performance management and, finally, the role of the knowledge platform (expert system) in shortening new hire training and effectiveness. The study concludes by introducing the concept of the Project Manager as a data analyst, who must utilize, command, and apply systems to provide data that allows the Project Management team to quickly deal with any obstacle and raise overall organizational efficiency.
