本論文主要分成二個主題:第一個部份是混波器的理論架構與雙平衡混波器(Double Balanced Mixer)的晶片設計實作與量測,第二個部份是壓控振盪器的理論與LC Tank VCO及Wide Band VCO的晶片設計實作與量測。我們分別使用是TSMC 0.18 µm CMOS 1P6M及TSMC 0.35 µm CMOS 2P4M製程,且利用Spectre RF及ADS軟體來進行電路模擬。未來目標希望能整合振盪器與混波器的概念,將VCO的訊號使用於混波器的LO端,使其能操作在2.4GHz或更高頻的應用。


This thesis is mainly composed of two topics. The first is the fundamental of the mixer theory and double-balanced mixer design, implementation, and measurement. The second is that theory of VCO and the chips of LC Tank VCO and Wide Band VCO are designed, achieved and measured. Two chips are fabricated by TSMC 0.18 µm CMOS 1P6M and TSMC 0.35 µm CMOS 2P4M processes, we use Spectre RF and ADS to simulate circuits. In our future work, we want to integrate the concepts of the oscillator and mixer, use the signal of VCO in the LO end of the mixer, enable it to operate it in 2.4 GHz or application of high frequency.
