Many automotive manufacturers have been engaged in the development of green vehicles in order to meet the environmental regulation set by government and fulfill the social responsibility required by public. While improving the environmental performance at one hand, however, it is significant to improve the traditional performance at the other hand. This research aims at evaluating the eco-efficiency of green vehicles by using two-stage DEA combining the traditional and environmental performance. Four hypotheses including vehicle type, the origin of vehicle maker, vehicle size and company type were formulated. Truncated regression is used to analyze the relationship between eco-efficiency of green vehicle and independent variables. The result from the data of the latest year indicates that smaller vehicle and smaller automotive manufacturers show higher eco-efficiency scores. Nevertheless, vehicle type and the origin of vehicle maker are not significantly correlated with the eco-efficiency of green vehicles.
