本設計研究主要是以「透明性」操作應用在建築空間的設計創作上。首先經由資料搜集與文獻回顧、案例分析、設計發想再進而實踐設計創作。透明性的概念主要從柯林·羅(Colin Rowe,1964)著作《Transparency》中得到的靈感，其內容有條理的將透明性分為主要兩種概念，其一為物理性的透明性，另一種是現象性的透明性。本設計依循其論述觀點作為概念的主軸，進而發想歸納出三個設計重點方向：空間重疊及視覺重疊、路徑自由、材質透明，並將設計概念應用於三個不同的設計個案上加以實踐。最後，本研究期望透過「建築的透明性」的概念引入，嘗試在不同的課題思考，挖掘透明性在建築中可能的發展方向，得以提供給之後的設計者作為參考方向。

The aim of the essay is trying to employ the concept of “Transparency” on architectural design. Via the process of literature collection and review, case studies and analysis, design ideas, and finally practice in architectural design. The concept of transparency comes from Colin Rowe "Transparency" published in 1964. In his essay, Colin Rowe creates two definitions for the term “Transparency”: Literal & Phenomenal transparency. Followed his description as the main design concept, this essay develops three aspects of design key points such as "Space and Visual penetration”, “Flexible circulation”, and “Materials’ transparent” into three different design projects. Overall, all these discussions and findings within this essay try to discuss the possible development directions for transparency that can be reference for future designers.
