建築立面的使用大多都是在不同氣候條件下以及人對空間使用的機能有公共性、私密性等等用途，但是對台灣而言，環境氣候變遷、日照、降雨量、又或是溫度變化都很大，所以本設計的研究動機為找出適用於住宅的皮層立面設計。

這次設計的研究目的為藉由使用參數化的設計手法，將集合住宅的空間機能與周遭環境的因素套用在設計階段，並打造幾何形單元模矩的皮層系統，讓同種機制下的幾何圖型產生出不同層次的變化，使多種房型的住宅空間在最終分析出的皮層設計裡擁有各自舒服且隱密的效果。

設計研究方法順序分為三個層面，從文獻回顧以及案例的設計手法、細部構造的運用當中找到相似處並改寫與加入新的元素，設計屬於一個適合台灣集合住宅的皮層系統，再從中截取出需要的數據，並且使用參考案例中的構造手法與參數化所得到的幾何圖形漸變模式來設計皮層，再利用模擬軟體進行分析測試，找出最適用於住宅的皮層設計，也期望此參數化皮層能為台灣的住宅多一分不同樣貌的立面積理層次感與室內節能的功用。

Most of the use of building facades is in different climatic conditions and people's function of space use has public, private and other uses, but for Taiwan, environmental climate change, sunshine, rainfall, or temperature changes are very large, so the research motivation of this design is to find out the cortex façade design suitable for housing.

The purpose of this design research is to apply the spatial function of the integrated housing and the factors of the surrounding environment to the design stage by using parametric design techniques, and to create a cortical system of geometric unit molds, so that the geometric pattern under the same mechanism produces different levels of changes, so that the residential space of various types of housing has its own comfortable and hidden effect in the final analyzed cortex design.

The order of design research methods is divided into two levels. Find similarities from the design techniques of literature and cases, rewrite and add new elements, design the cortex system belonging to Multifamily residential in Taiwan, cut out the required data, and use the construction methods and the geometric figure gradient pattern obtained by parameterization in the reference case to design the cortex, and then use simulation software for analysis and testing, Identify the most suitable skin design for residential use, and it is expected that this parameterized skin layer can add a different appearance of facade layering and indoor energy-saving functions to residential buildings in Taiwan.
