  • 在這篇論文中,我們主要設計一個更有效率的無線網路媒體層協定。有別於一般的方法,我們提出這新的 multi-channel MAC protocol有以下特性: (i)它是一個“on-demand”的方法去分配頻道給正在需要的每一個節點, (ii) 需要的頻道數跟網路拓普、分支度、密度無關, (iii) 可以應用在會移動的網路節點上且只需要交換少許的控制訊息便可以達到頻道分配跟媒體存取, (iv) 並不需要時間同步, (v) 控制封包跟網路拓普和節點密度無關, (vi) 跟網路層無關,可以任意搭配適合自己應用環境的繞線機制, (vii) 僅使用兩個無線電收發器,一個用來專門收送控制封包另一個用來收送資料封包跟接收特定控制封包, 和(viii) 媒體存取方面同時解決了hidden-terminal 跟exposed-terminal 的問題。


    The wireless mobile ad hoc network (MANET) architecture has received a lot of attention recently ﹒In this thesis﹐we propose a more useful wireless network link layer protocol﹒ This new multi-channel MAC protocol﹐ which is characterized by the following features﹕(i ) it follows an “on-demand” style to assign channels to mobile hosts﹐(ii) the number of channels required is independent of the network topology、 degree and density﹐(iii) it flexibly adapts to host mobility and only exchanges few control messages to achieve channel assignment and medium access﹐(iv) no clock synchronization is required﹐(v) the control packet is independent of the network topology and degree of nodes﹐(vi)any routing mechanism can be collocated without considering network layer﹐(vii) Only two radio transceivers are required﹐and (viii) solving hidden-terminal problem and exposed-terminal problem﹒
