  • 電力線通信(PLC)技術在近年來受到相當多的關注,因為在他強大的傳輸能力與通道容量,又有不需再另外佈線之優點之下,人們開始考慮使用電力線通訊傳輸來當做他們對外的寬頻網路連接,也有人開始利用電力線通訊設備非常地簡單就能夠將自家的區域網路建構起來。
    然而,據我們所知為了對PLC網路之性能做為評估,目前雖有相關文獻對PLC做模擬,但詳細的建置方式與使用方式皆尚未明朗。故在本論文我們提出了利用NS-2網路模擬軟體來模擬Homeplug AV電力線標準。此標準主要利用CSMA/CA的存取模式來降低封包之碰撞發生,以達成PLC對QoS之需求。此外還實現利用各節點設定的權重大小來判別通道的使用權。
    本文將會對系統的建置與各個性能評估做一個完整的介紹。


    Power Line Communication (PLC) technology has received considerable attention over the last few years because of its connectivity advantages and its transmission capacity, and the advantages of additional wiring, people began to consider using of power line communications transmitted as their external broadband internet access. Some people started to use power line communications equipment which is very simple and can be built up its own local area network(LAN).
    However, there are simulation tools to evaluate the performance of PLC-based networks. But the way to build PLC network model is not clear for users. Therefore, in this thesis, we propose the use of NS-2 network simulator to simulate the Homeplug AV standard. This standard mainly the uses the CSMA / CA access mode to reduce the packet collision in order to reach the QoS demand of PLC.
    In this thesis, we will introduce the implementation of Homeplug AV system by NS-2 network simulator and demonstrate its performance evaluation.
