  • Aviation industry is known for its highly strict proceduralized maintenance process (Sahay, 2012). It is required for all the maintenance technician to follow what is written in the manual or technical documentation provided by regulators (Avers, et al., 2012). As complexity of an aircraft increase, it is inevitable for the procedures to be complex and difficult to understand (Drury, et al., 2005). This study aims to use diagrammatic representation to facilitate technician in conducting maintenance. Based on our study case, we focus on developing job aid for troubleshooting, and assembly task. We firstly study the manual to define the structure of the task, and how to conduct the maintenance. Then, we define every decision point for troubleshooting task, and hierarchy of parts for the assembly task. The decision points then arranged by using decision tree. While for assembly task, we use Operation Process Chart to define structure and hierarchy of the parts, then create step-by-step assembly diagram to illustrate the installation of each part.
