The real estate industry is one of the most important sectors in one country, for the sector can be used as an indicator to analyze the health of the country’s economy. Hence, the young population in Indonesia is clearly became the key of the sector since the growth of population is directly proportional with the property needs. The development of property that has increased significantly indicates the start of significant economic improvement towards a better future. Summarecon Tbk is one of the old-player in Indonesia property industry. The objective of this research is to study and analyze Summarecon. Tbk, a medium-sized player in Indonesian market property’s core competencies in which makes them to have the ability to implement strategic thinking to survive and obtained its own market share among the larger players from the current competition with various external drivers, such as politics, economics, social population and technology, since the direction of a company's strategy must be dynamic to keep up with developments. Beside company annual report, the primary data used in this case study also sourced from professional interview and survey, to obtain expert views on the Indonesian real estate market in both general and more specific view and to be able to provide a future plans recommendation.
