The objective of this research is to establish a simulation program to study the running stability and riding comfort of a high-speed rail vehicle using the available vehicle parameters and track parameters, which based Skyhook control on semi-active suspension system. To simulate the dynamic response of running railway vehicle, different running conditions and measured rail irregularity were applied.
The simulation results is show that when vehicles running on a perfect straight track, Skyhook damping on the dynamic response of the carbody is more obviously. When the vehicles running on the straight or curve track with irregularity, the lateral displacement and acceleration could be reduce by semi-active suspension dampers, and the Skyhook damping could suppresses the lateral vibration of car-body effectively.
