  • Construction is a main industry in more developing countries, particularly, in Vietnam, this sector is contributing significantly to the development of local and national economy. However, construction is a very dangerous industry which operates in unstable conditions with high accidents’ rate. Therefore, safety management is a necessary solution to reduce accidents. In this study, we will investigate some causes to affect accidents with factors as follows: Safety Policy & Standards, Safety Organization, Safety Training, Personal Protection Program, Safety Promotion, and Administration Behaviour. First of all, we will propose a survey questionnaire with some factors as above to look for causes of accidents. Result analysis of survey is a solution to find out the difference in response result between companies. Furthermore, reliability analysis is to determine the internal consistency or correlation of items in survey, hypothesis test is a method to decide whether or not collected data can be reliability and validity. Finally, analysis of variance is compared with Independent Sample Test. These results show that pairs of groups are significantly different or similar. From some causes above, we can identify some factors affecting to accidents in construction industry in Vietnam.
