札哈‧哈蒂提出「新平面」的設計手法，並視此為一種「新城市幾何學」，以解決現代主義在城市街廓上遺留下的問題，同時這也是幫助哈蒂由基地及基地環境的角度來切入實際設計內容的操作方法，以新平面的操作方式及流程將建築空間與基地聯繫在一起。哈蒂的設計造型常被人詬病為「地標建築」，這是帶有貶義意涵的評論，意指她的設計項目太過前衛、與周遭的建築語彙太不相容，從外觀造型來看，的確會讓人在第一印象認為這個建築和周圍的建築並沒有關聯性，便視為這個建築並沒有回應基地本身。然而哈蒂的回應則是她希望以她的建築與回應城市的方式，使設計內容成為打開城市的方式，並使公共維度的建築空間更為公共性和市民化。因此本研究將藉由札哈‧哈蒂的各博物館案例分析，以及她運用「新平面」的手法來進入設計、操作設計內容，來檢視新平面的手法運用與在空間中達成的效果，以實際的建築空間分析，來端看其設計內容是如何運用此手法進行設計操作。

Zaha Hadid proposed the architectural approach ”New Plan”, which she sees it as a “geometry in the future city” used to solve the problems produced by modernism in the cities, and it is also an operation method that helps Hadid go deep into the connection which is linked by base and its environment to the design content. The design modeling of Hadid is usually criticized as a landmark, it's a derogatory comment, it means her design projects are advance-guard, and are not fitting to the base environments. From the first sight of the design modeling, it might make people think the architecture has nothing to do with the buildings and the environment, and think it doesn't response to the base. However the response of Hadid to the criticism is she wishes to use her way which responded to the city becomes a way to let the design content open up to the city, and let the architectural spaces of public dimension become more publicity and urbanization. Therefore, this research uses the analysis of the museums projects which are designed by Zaha Hadid, and her way that she used ”New Plan” to go into architectural design, operation of design method, in order to view how the ”New Plan” plays a part in the design operation used in the design content to respond the base and its environment by the specific architectural analysis.
