This study utilizes the hybrid fuzzy Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) method to evaluate the determinants of introducing the AI technology into the HR department for recruiting talents in Taiwan’s laptop brand industry. The author totally interviewed 16 experts from the nine main laptop brand companies in Taiwan including HP、Dell、Lenovo、Microsoft、LG、Asus、Acer、GIGABYTE、MSI. The measurement indicators include four main dimensions namely, the External Environment, Corporate Culture, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), as well as fourteen criteria. The DEMATEL method is used to find the causal relationships between the dimensions, and the FANP and FAHP methods are employed to calculate and rank the weights of the main dimensions and criteria. The empirical results reveal that the Corporate Culture is the most important dimension, and which is followed by PaaS. The top four key criteria are “Market demand”, “Middle and top management support”, “R&D ability in AI tech”, and “The level of mastery in AI tech”. The top 2 belong to the External Environment and Corporate Culture, respectively. The other two of the four criteria belong to PaaS. “Information accuracy” and “Searching speed”, which were ranked fifth and sixth, belong to SaaS. The VIKOR and TOPSIS methods show that “Build the talent database” is the priority strategy for firms. Then, when using TOPSIS, “Enhance the educational training” is ranked second, “Found the AI project team” is ranked third, and “Import the AI system” is ranked fourth. For VIKOR both“Found the AI project team” and “Enhance the educational training” rank second, and are followed by “Found the AI project team”.
