Customization and Feng Shui principles have been increasingly emphasized in most
Asia countries. Traditional housing customization approach is indefinite, and the
judgment on housing Feng Shui is costly and time-consuming. This study presents
a model to support decision making in housing customization using a case-based
reasoning (CBR) approach combining important Feng Shui theories. With this
model, a customer is able to participate in the design process by customizing the
house according to one’s specific needs and Feng Shui consideration without
complicated communication with professional designers and Feng Shui experts.
The test case shows that the proposed approach can make pre-sale housing buying
decisions efficient and practicable, and it can be widely applied to whole housing
    market.
