本論文主要探討光波極化狀態如何影響在單模光纖中動態的四波混頻。在四波混頻中,三個不同波長的單色雷射光同時傳播於光纖中,符合邊界條件與相位匹配,產生出第四道光。調整光的偏振觀察如何影響第四道光的狀態。以馬克斯威爾方程作為基礎,利用三階非線性極化光學其電極化率與電場關係的公式,代入波動方程式之後再推導出耦合方程式,以模擬的方式得到耦合方程式的數值解觀察第四道光極化狀態的改變。
This paper studies how the polarization states of lightwaves affect the dynamics of the four-wave mixing inside a single mode fiber. During the four-wave mixing, three monochromatic laser lightwaves with different wavelengths propagate in the optical fiber, with proper boundary conditions and phase matching, a fourth light can be generated. The polarization of the input light is adjusted to see how it affects the state of the fourth light. Taking the Maxwell’s equations as the starting point, a set of coupling equations is deduced by introducing the formula of the relationship between the electric susceptibility and the electric field of the third-order nonlinear polarization. Numerical solutions of the coupling equations are obtained to express the effect of polarization changing on the output fourth light.
