International students face unique challenges when adapting to unfamiliar cultures, languages, and social environments while studying overseas. Developing proficiency in Intercultural Communication Competence is pivotal for their academic and personal success. Collaborative learning methods, like the Think-Pair-Share strategy, hold promise in fostering Intercultural Communication Competence. This study investigates the potential of the Think-Pair-Share technique in enhancing Intercultural Communication Competence among international students. Utilizing a qualitative approach, the research involved eleven students from diverse nationalities and academic backgrounds. Through semi-structured interviews, in-depth insights were gathered into how Think-Pair-Share influences knowledge, skill, and attitude attributes related to Intercultural Communication Competence. The findings underscore several key outcomes: heightened awareness of communication biases, alignment and disparities with cultural values, enhanced communication skills and negotiation abilities, and acquisition of cultural knowledge. Ultimately, this study aims to offer valuable insights into leveraging Think-Pair-Share as a tool to enrich Intercultural Communication Competence among international students navigating diverse cultural landscapes.
