Twenty-one century is a knowledge-economy age. Knowledge has replaced capital, land and labors; it becomes the most important resource of competition. With Community of Practice, The enterprise that can develop knowledge management effectively will gain an advantage of competition over others.
However, KM is no longer to be confined within enterprises. Therefore, the aim of this study is to apply CoP to develop school community portal. In this system, students can share, accumulate knowledge and teachers can be empowered to manage community autonomously. The main purpose of this study is to design CoP for the school members in order to improve the efficiency, by enhancing knowledge sharing, group interaction and growth of the whole school.
This study applies the system display method of the Deduction, and in-depth interviews for data collections. Author found the following findings: (1) The community members in which functions are designed to facilitate the process is helpful to structure member’s activities; (2) The Web-based environment encourages users to use the community school system on their activities; (3) This system provides effective group interaction mechanism and knowledge sharing process to solve their problems; (4) It requires high commitment and support form community leaders; (5) This system which provides the statistic information benefits leader to arrange community activity systematically; (6) It is useful to connects community members’ demands and focus their collective purpose.

This research has two suggestions: (1) Establish the consensus of knowledge sharing for users; (2) Link the functions of the CoP with work activities.
