建築是人類文化中相當重要的一部份，而台灣因受到許多外來文化的影響，形成了特殊且屬於台灣特有的建築文化。又由於近年來文化產生的差異性與特色逐漸被人們所關注，台灣也不斷的推展文創產業，在設計之中融入建築元素已是許多設計者所使用的創作手法之一，因此本研究探討台灣傳統建築與歷史，從中找尋具有文化意義的建築語彙並將其應用於產品設計之中，期望能夠創作出屬於台灣特有的建築意象設計。
本研究依據文化意象與符號學的理論，將具有意義和特色的建築意象元素，透過符號化圖像作為轉化的根據，整理出具有邏輯性思考與能提供創作參考的理論，供後續創作參考。
現代人的生活除了重視品味也重視情緒的調解，期望在休息時，能夠讓身心靈得到紓解，因此本論文以與創作者本身背景相關的閩南式傳統建築為主題，創作三件作品，並選擇有休憩功能的傳統庭院建築元素，以其中虛實隱露的概念，依照從理論和案例中整理出的創作手法，結合現代生活用品，三件創作分別為:
(一) 框景門洞-花器，將大型庭園框景景觀的動態意象，設計為現代植栽容器。
(二) 漏窗-藍芽音響，以光線透出植物的影子，並隨音樂擺動，呈現漏窗的意境之美。
(三) 格心-壁燈，以非實體的光線交疊出各種紋樣，表現格心透光時的意象。
期望透過運用本研究整理的設計手法，以傳統建築元素賦予產品獨特性、提升生活品質，也讓使用者能從產品外觀或使用產品的過程中體驗文化精神和理念。

Architecture is a very important part of human culture, and Taiwan has been influenced by many foreign cultures in the formation of a special architectural culture unique to it. As the diversity and characteristics created by the cultures are getting the public’s attention in recent years, Taiwan continues to promote the cultural and creative industries, by integrating architectural elements into design as one of the creative techniques used by many designers. With such an inspiration, this study explores Taiwan's traditional architecture and history, from which to find architectural vocabulary with cultural significance and its application in product design, hoping to create unique image of Taiwan’s architectural design.

Based on the theory of cultural imagery and semiotics, this study uses architectural imagery featured with significant meanings as symbolic presentation for the transformation, and sorts out a theory for logical thinking by creative works.

Modern people attach great importance to stylish tastes, and emotional mediation as well, hoping to get relaxed physically and mentally when rest. Therefore, in this paper three pieces of artwork are created in the context of traditional Minnan architecture related to the author’s background. The traditional courtyard elements with the function for rest are chosen for the concept of concealment and revelation in between virtuality and actuality. Through creative techniques sorted out from the theories and cases and manifested in modern daily necessities, the three pieces of creative artwork created are introduced as follows:
(1) Garden- a flower vessel designed to depict the dynamic image of a large garden’s landscape revealed through an arched door frame.
(2) Swing- a Bluetooth speaker, with light to reveal the shadow of the plant, swinging to the music, in the beauty of the creative window openwork.
(3) Frame light-a wall lamp, with various illumination patterns overlapped to form an image of transparent lattices.

It is hoped that through the use of the design techniques sorted out in this study, traditional architectural elements will be used to give products uniqueness and enhance the quality of life, and consumers will also be able to experience the cultural spirit and philosophy from the appearance or the use of the products.
