  • 本論文背景為美國某網路科技公司,提供網路產品銷售,設計規劃與安裝等服務,文中描述了網路產業規模與網路結構化佈線技術背景,技術方面,因應網路寬頻需求的增加與網路標準的更新,新規格10GbE產品陸續問世,但 Cat7新標準竟出現兩種連接器規格,並與目前連接器規格不相容,規格戰之間廠商應該如何抉擇?個案論述了其利弊與決策思維。
    個案以屆於產品生命週期之成熟期的Cat5E與Cat6產品為例,面對同質性產品競爭下,利用PEST分析對產業進行外部環境掃描,作為宏觀的商業分析評估,並進一步利用安索夫矩陣,對於現有產品與新產品重新定位,作為企業轉型再成長的策略。
    新產品的企劃應該注重在以規格領導新產品走向,如增加或精簡產品功能或是以客戶的需求為導向最為依歸?個案舉出VHS與Betamax規格戰的實例說明以客戶需求為導向的產品終究贏得市場,並以安索夫矩陣中新產品投入既有市場的產品策略,舉出B公司實例,利用品質機能展開應用於新產品開發過程中之規畫階段,傾聽客戶需求,轉換為商品開發的品質與技術指標。
    而產品開發過程中,工程技術間卻發生了矛盾問題有待解決。系統性創新理論的39工程參數矛盾矩陣與40個發明解,提供了本個案在新產品開發過程中,突破既有思考框架,提供了個案實際可執行並實踐的解決方法。除個案描述新產品開發的實際方法外,本論文亦提出除個案採用之解決方案外的其他可能方向供讀者參考。


    The background of this thesis is a case study from the United States based networking technology company that runs the branch offices around the world. The company provides the design of network related product solutions, sells its own brand product and offers the installation and maintain services. This thesis covers the scale of the network industry and the technical background of network structured cabling. The new network 10GbE standard has released. However, the new Cat7 standard has two connector specifications, which are incompatible with the existing connector specifications (RJ45). The thesis expounds the strategic decision that how to select the best one between two specifications or sitting on the fence.
    The case takes Cat5E and Cat6 products at the mature stage of the product life cycle as examples. Facing the competition of homogeneous products, the case uses the PEST analysis to scan the external environment of the industry as a macro business analysis, then utilize the Ansoff matrix to reposition existing and new products.
    What lead the direction of new product development? With specifications? Adding or simplifying product features or based on customer needs? This is another decision marking case, the thesis used examples of VHS and Betamax battle to illustrate that by satisfying customer’s needs eventually won the market, and the Ansoff matrix was cited to position the new product into the new market for company B and the Quality Function Deployment demonstrates how a new product development process that transform the Voice of Customers into quality and technical indicators for product development step by step.
    However, there are contradictions between engineering technologies that need to be resolved in the product development. The 39 engineering parameters contradiction matrix of the systematic innovation theory and 40 invention solutions provide this case with a breakthrough solution in the new product development process. Moreover, this thesis also proposes other possible methodologies for readers' reference.
