大都會透過不同的事工模式及運作方法，來達成他們的目標，透過在孩子們居住的區域舉辦每週的主日學、夏令營和個人指導，幫助孩子們經歷基督的盼望和愛〪同工們透過持續的一對一關係、每週家庭探訪及兒童資助計劃，親自投資在所服事孩子的生命當中，努力滿足那些攔阻身心靈成長的基本需求，例如學習用品、衣服、食物和乾淨的水等生活必需用品。
「路邊主日學」也是由比爾牧師創立，他把在教會的主日學聚會，移動到街頭，甚至改裝貨車成為流動的教會講台，開到那裡就在那裡向兒童分享信息，吸引許多孩童並抓住他們的心。這樣的福音行動也影響了許多國家，看重街頭、弱勢、基層的孩子們。

Metro World Child is an international, faith-based humanitarian organization.
It started in New York and is dedicated to serving children in slums in New York and around the world. Metro World Child was founded in 1980 by Pastor Bill Wilson. Metro World Child uses different modes of ministry and operation methods to achieve their goals. Through holding weekly Sunday school, summer camps and personal guidance in the area where the children live, it helps the children experience the hope and love of Christ. Through continuous one-by-one relationships, weekly family visits and child support programs, we personally invest in the lives of the children we serve, and strive to meet the basic needs that hinder the growth of the body, mind, and spirit, such as school supplies, coats, food, and clean supplies. water.
"Roadside Sunday School" was also founded by Pastor Bill. He moved the Sunday school meetings that are usually in the church to the streets, and even converted a truck into a mobile church platform.
