In the rapidly changing environment nowadays, the way of utilizing and preserving knowledge among organizations has become more and more important. Therefore, how to make knowledge resemble the cash withdrawn that we can get access to at any time and thereby further reaching the goals of organization, and strengthening organizational capability will be a very interesting topic. There are few mainly discussing about knowledge management throughout the whole organization and management issues among previous studies. Since there are imperious needs for solutions of management practices, this study adopts the qualitative research method to observe management issues throughout an entire organization, and finally conclude a multiple fit model of knowledge management design for organizations.
Based on organizational design and modularity theory, this study took Sanlih E-Television Inc. (SET Inc.) as the subject of case study, and ultimately designed a five-affair-modules system. It includes production, post-production, creative marketing, finance and administration. This study then explicitly defines and delimits the core competencies among the five modules, and further organizes the core mechanisms of knowledge management respectively. Furthermore, every activity of knowledge management carried out by SET will be illustrated under each mechanism in detail, and finally summarized into a multi-fit knowledge management design for organizations, which will be instrumental to implement knowledge management and make the structure of knowledge management more completely in the future.
