Kawli, the CEO of "BulauBulau aboriginal village", went to Australia to study after graduating from junior high school. After graduating from university, he studied international hotel management and multimedia design school and returned to Taiwan to serve as a soldier. During his military service, he had intensive contact with the Bulau tribe. During the period, we will maintain the tribal culture and inherit the continuation of the traditional handicrafts of the aborigines, strengthen the communication and operation of the tribal organizations, take root in the new generation and establish the first aboriginal self-study group high school "Root Vocational School" in Taiwan.
From a piece of barren aborigines’ territory to seven pieces of land, the family formed "BulauBulau aboriginal village". These seven families worked silently in the cold and rainy land of Hanxi, Yilan. The elders pieced together the impression of sparse traditional aboriginal houses , build a strong meeting place that conforms to the local terrain and climate, research and cultivate organic vegetables, although they are not good for sale, but they are very healthy for the land and people, plant basswood shiitake mushrooms, learn to follow the law of symbiosis and coexistence in the natural environment during the planting process, and understand Each creature has its own reason and value, and must respect and tolerate each other.
"BulauBulau aboriginal village" has been established for 19 years. In order to survive and operate one-day sightseeing tours, tourists who go up the mountain need to make an appointment half a year ago to get a glimpse of the secrets of the tribe. The tribe slowly regains the lost traditional culture and skills of the aborigines. From the elders to the new generation bit by bit, the CEO founded "The Root Vocational School" to cultivate young people, so that the next generation will have more confidence and more choices for the future.
The topics discussed in this case include the need to "be a tribe" at the beginning of the establishment of the tribe, which is the persistence and rooting of the inheritance of traditional culture and skills of the aborigines. The one-day tour of the tribe has attracted tourists to go up the mountain for so many years, and the evolution of one-day sightseeing , Accumulate the tribal cultural heritage, the communication of the three generations of the old, the middle and the young, and the application of the "bottom-up" OKR thinking management in the tribe, the "The Root Vocational School" is realized step by step so that the new generation of young people can take root in their hometown to learn and go their own way .
"BulauBulau aboriginal village" faced with the unpredictable and ever-changing environment of nature, and created new concepts and practices accordingly. Just as modern enterprises face the international turbulent situation and unpredictable future, how to respond to changes tests the wisdom of leaders and managers. It is hoped that this case can bring new learning and harvest to the students from different perspectives.
