"Bricolage" is a concept of improvisational creation that utilizes existing resources. Although this concept has a significant developmental history, with the continuous progress of technology and communication to this day, individuals in both personal and professional settings are increasingly confronted with spontaneous creative events happening around them. In the current trend where individuals and businesses prioritize personal well-being, exploring the impact of bricolage on personal well-being is probably a major trend.

This study examines bricolage as an event from the perspective of the affect events
theory and hires students in the human resources case course at the National Taiwan
University of Science and Technology as the research subjects. A quasi-experimental
design is employed to investigate the impact of bricolage events on different aspects of individual well-being, including positive emotions, negative emotions, subjective well-being, and psychological well-being. A total of 51 valid questionnaires were collected, and the research data were analyzed using factor analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis.

The results of the study indicate that: (1) Experiencing bricolage events enhances
positive emotions; (2) Experiencing bricolage events reduces negative emotions; (3)
Experiencing bricolage events enhances subjective well-being; and (4) Experiencing
    bricolage events decrease eudaimonic well-being.

The theoretical and practical contributions derived from the analysis of this study
include: (1) Expanding the application of the affect events theory by considering
bricolage as an affecting event; (2) Exploring the impact of bricolage events on individual well-being; (3) Managers are suggested to regulate the frequency of bricolage events appropriately; and (4) Organizations should avoid making bricolage events a primary business function to promote long-term development.
