In driving, the most influential factor for safety is driver. By driving simulator to investigate the delay time and the characteristic of behavior for the normal driver, drunk driver, and distracted driver is the main goal of this research. In time delay part, this research is taken area method to do the analysis. It is crucial to enhance the reaction time during safety driving. And the area method is one way to estimate driving reaction time on-line. In the part of behavioral characteristic is investigated by car following event. Due to distracted driving and drunk driving is the traffic issues that most to be concerned. Therefore, this research will take two kind of state to discuss together.
