金融業產品差異化小，產品與經營模式複製容易，業務進入競爭門檻低，較難以創新提供差異化取勝，彼此處於高度價格競爭，現有系統又因普遍缺乏彈性、維護成本高及整合性欠佳，面臨無法滿足使用者對系統需求，由處理交易面轉為組織、客戶、產品等面向資訊，致決策者無法進行差異化管理，如何提昇價值活動，創造競爭優勢，在營運資訊上之管理更顯重要。
目前台灣金融控股公司皆尚未將旗下眾多子公司整合在同一資訊平台，成為一家公司之經營模式，致面臨無法客觀衡量客戶貢獻度、提供正確產品訂價及較即時性分析資料之困境。本研究以個案研究方式探討金融業導入以會計導向之企業資源規劃系統(Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP) 是否可以解決相關問題，提昇競爭優勢，管理決策前之評估作業，應考量那些主要相關因素。本研究之結論如下：
一、金融業導入企業資源規劃系統（Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP）可改善財務會計、績效管理資訊之品質，相對決策較易成功，有效降低不必要之成本，解決個案公司營運管理困境，並產生下列效益，以提高核心競爭力：
（一）ERP系統可以協助建立各子公司統一會計平台、強化財務資訊之合併能力，提供較即時與完整之營運資訊；建立各子公司資訊與作業流程之標準化，並在同中求異、異中求同，符合主管機關個別規範。
（二）ERP系統可以提高與前端業務系統之整合性，提供與核心系統之介面，加速業務上線速度。
（三）ERP系統計算收入以帳戶層級為基礎，並將業務與管理單位之成本費用直接歸屬或分攤至帳戶層級，能提供各分析維度損益及以風險管理為導向之分析資訊，以協助客戶開發、產品設計、產品訂價及資本配置。
二、金融業導入企業資源規劃系統（Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP）前之管理決策，主要考量因素如下：
（一）需求評估。
（二）導入範圍與順序。
（三）適法性。
（四）評估預期效益。
（五）參訪導入同業。
（六）遴選系統與顧問。

Due to slight differentiation of products in financial industry, it’s easy to duplicate the products and business model. Therefore, with low challenging entry barrier and serious price competition, it’s critical to innovate through the diversity in the ascendant. In general, with insufficient flexibility, high maintenance cost and integration deficiency, on-going system is unsatisfied with users’ need to convert the data from transaction processing to organization, customer, product and etc. segments. Therefore, decision-makers are unable to conduct diversity management. It is more fundamental in operation information management how to promote valuation activities and to create competition advantage.
Currently, all of the financial holding companies in Taiwan have not integrated their subsidiaries’ systems into identical information platforms and not become single entities. It will be a difficulty that customer contribution is not measured objectively, and correct product pricing and instant analytical information is unable to provide. This research is based on case study. It’s explored that as an accounting oriented information system in financial industry, the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) implementation is possible to solve the related problems, to promote competition advantage, and to consider material factors for evaluation task before management decision. The conclusion of the study is as following:
1.The ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) implementation in financial industry can improve the quality of financial account and performance management. Further, the decision enables to succeed and unnecessary cost is declined efficiently. The difficulty of business management can be solved, and to advance core competitiveness, the effects are shown as following:
(1) ERP system can assist to build unified accounting platform for subsidiaries, advance consolidation of financial information, and provide instant and entire operating information. Also, it can set up standards of information and operation process prescribed by the Competent Authority.
(2) ERP system can advance integration with front office system, provide the interface with core system, and accelerate business launch.
(3) ERP system can compute revenue based on account levels, and allocate business and management cost by accounts. Further, it can provide profitability analysis by segment, and information of risk management to assist customer development, product design, pricing and capital allocation.
