In recent years, the gradual development of industry 4.0 cause many industries to start finding the way to develop Internet of People, so time and location would not limit working. With mobile device, each employee can receive and send information immediately, thus making human more efficient when serving as managers in the autonomous system. In these changes, a company’s way to improve ERP system is important. ERP system records many information about company. However, in the past, people are used to observe the report of ERP system on the desktop. With the development of mobile devices, ERP system should be installed on one to let people can read the report any time. RWD (Responsive Web Design) is a method to simplify the development of website. This study will use “Mobile First” the method of RWD to design the layout of ERP system on the mobile device. This study discusses how the arrangement of information on the mobile interface can make people focus on tasks. Unsuitable layouts would cause discomfort and influence the performance during completion of tasks. This study designs an experiment to find a suitable layout.
The experiment of this study applied two factorial design, by employing information searching and browsing task and measuring physiological data. There are 10 participants in this experiment. The result shows users prefer grid layout and perform better in that layout in the searching task. Users prefer single row layout in the browsing task as it can make users stay at first layer and browse each content in detail. In this experiment of this study shows the result that mental load is lower when the more information is provided in the interface. This study also gets the validation of the WSPS (website preferences scale) in the reliability and validity of the performance. The result of this study could provide some principles for the interface designers in the future.
