Nowadays, there are many automobile manufacturers developing autonomous cars. The Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems(ADAS) are systems to help the driver when driving. The systems include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning system, automatic parking, pre-crash system, etc. In order to detect the surrounding targets, car radar transmits a Frequency-Modulated Continuous-Wave (FMCW) radar signal and receives a signal reflected from surrounding targets. According to Doppler effect, we can find out the speed and distance of targets by analyzing the signal. However, developing a car radar costs lots of time to measure and collect data on the road. Therefore, we proposed a radar target simulator which transmits a FMCW radar signal as a “received signal” of a car radar. With the proposed system, there is no need to collect data on the road and it can reduce the development time of car radar.
