管理課程若只是進行理論探究,會讓學生不知其所以然,於是愈來愈多的研究者開始嘗試撰寫個案,但初期的個案多半是平鋪直敘的呈現企業問題、與可能的解決方式,屬於分析型的個案,往往會造成學生不知道實務真正的狀況,更何論該怎麼解決了!
2005年開始,哈佛大學商學院積極在亞洲地區推動個案教學,透過實例的建構,來讓學生有身歷其境的感覺,站在執行長、董事長、或是其他角色來思考,在職場上每個位階領導者的想法,同時,也可套用管理學課程的理論與應用方式,透過課前的閱讀、分組與課堂討論,體驗到管理決策的制定與分析過程。
由此,本研究利用哈佛式個案撰寫法,陳述現今資騰科技董事長林萬益先生在面對經營模式轉變後,營收不如預期的狀況,期待讀者可藉由個案的內容和教師手冊學習到理論與實務的結合,進而累積創業家精神、策略管理、經營模式等概念的相關知識。
林董事長在代理商已經經營超過20年,有鑒於代理商的毛利多操在他人手上,造成經營上的限制,而積極找尋新的市場與發展機會。並領先業界來透過合資方式經營,讓資騰得以切入國外大廠的技術研發階段,使資騰在往後的數年內都能保持10%以上的成長,只是這模式在2012年的營收卻發生不如預期的現象,且公司內的高階人才數量不足等問題,面對此一狀況,林董事長應該怎麼做?
本論文包含個案內容和教師手冊兩部分,透過本論文可讓讀者了解企業進行策略管理、經營模式轉型等概念,進而在日後碰到相同狀況時,能知道應對的方式,並做出最佳的決策。


This study applies the writing method of Harvard case study. The study states how Mr. Lin, Wan-Yi, President of Standard Technology Corporation (STC) deals with the situation which revenue did not meets expectations after changes in management models. It is anticipated that the reader is able to combine the knowledge of theory and practical experience through the contents of this case study and teacher’s manual. As well as accumulate knowledge related to entrepreneurship, strategic management and management models.
President Lin has been an agent for more than ten years. However, as an agent, profit margins are greatly controlled by others, causing limitations in operations and therefore, have been aggressively seeking for new markets and expansion opportunities. In 2009, STC was able to lead the industry through joint venture and cooperate with foreign leading manufacturers in technological development phase. This allowed STC to maintain a 10% growth for the coming several years. However, in 2012, this operation model showed that the revenue earnings are not as expected and lacking of high-level professional personnel internally was also a problem. How would Mr. Lin cope with this situation?
There are two parts in this study including case study contents and teacher’s manual. The reader is able to understand the concepts of strategic management and changes of management models in enterprises. As well as being ready to deal with similar situation in the future and in turn, make the best decision.
