在電子業製造公司,進料檢驗是指原物料自供應商出貨到製造公司收料後,由特定人員以儀器或依據供應商提供的出貨檢驗資料,確認原物料的特性是否符合生產需求的程序。進料檢驗可避免因原物料來料品質不良,造成製造單位加工後所引發的品質問題,所以是一種從生產流程前期就控管品質的方式。
本論文採用哈佛教學個案方式探討進料檢驗系統建置時的重要品質管理議題,研究中之個案公司A為印刷電路板製造公司,研究中描述個案公司A面臨的原物料品質控管問題,包括原物料來料異常,造成出貨檢驗時出現影響功能性的品質問題而無法正常出貨,蒙受鉅額的損失,亦指出客戶稽核下,提出對個案公司A材料控管上的質疑。個案公司基於以上的管理困境,催生出完善的進料檢驗系統。論文中包含個案本文與教師手冊兩個部分,聚焦於討論個案公司面臨不同的原物料特性以及進料檢驗方法,如何從不同的面向做考量,選擇適合的管制圖,以及在資源不足的狀況下,進行資源拼湊,盤點手邊現有資源,建立符合客戶要求的進料檢驗系統,可以做為管理者在針對原物料建置進料檢驗系統時的參考。
An incoming quality inspection is usually conducted by an electronics manufacturing company when the company receive raw materials from suppliers to assure the raw materials meet the specification. It could help avoiding the quality problems caused by the poor material quality after the company starts the manufacturing process. Therefore, it is a way to control the quality in the early stage of production.
This study adapts Harvard case method to discuss several quality-related issues of company A, a manufacturer of printed circuit boards (PCBs). First, company A faced some quality issues with raw materials, which lead to defects of the products. Second, the customer of the company is not satisfied with the quality system currently used by the company for incoming quality inspection, and requests company A to implement a better mechanism. Based on above management dilemma, a better incoming inspection system was designed and implemented.
By using the case, we could find how to choose appropriate control charts for different materials under different situations, and to reach the goals of building a system by using the concepts of “Bricolage”. Suggestions and insights provided in this study could be used as a guideline for managers who are interested in building an incoming inspection system for raw materials.
