In recent years, as global warming has caused an abnormal climate and frequent
disasters caused by intermittent rainstorms, heavy rainfall has caused the
groundwater level to rise sharply. For slopes, after the water level rises, the
increase in pore water pressure will cause the effective stress in the soil to be
reduced, resulting in unstable slopes. The slopes in Taiwan account for about
three-quarters of the total area. More and more people are reclaiming and
constructing on the slopes. It is necessary to pay special attention. If the impact
of heavy rain is added, disasters are prone to occur. Therefore, this study
considers the influence of groundwater and surcharge on soil slopes and uses
numerical software based on limit analysis to analyze the results and establish a
stability chart for field engineers to quickly evaluate the stability of the slope. In
addition, the combination of artificial intelligence technology puts repetitive
and complex tasks to the computer, and computer calculations can reduce errors
and improve efficiency.
