國際間對於綠色環境保護議題越來越重視，台灣企業要進入全球供應鏈作生意，研發技術需要積極與國際綠色規範接軌，並符合市場綠色產品的規格，因此許多企業開始思考產品及服務如何提高節能、綠能，所以朝向綠色經濟發展、升級轉型己是企業刻不容緩的課題。在資料量與日俱增以及企業運作高度仰賴科技的時代，資訊部門設備與企業的成長息息相關，但傳統資訊中心的碳排放量高達23%，因此資訊部門如何從傳統機房轉型建立為綠色機房，並且探討綠色機房專案導入過程對資訊部門組織變革的影響成為本研究主要研究動機。
本研究針對個案公司以曾參與資訊部門綠色機房建置專案計畫之主管與非主管為研究對象，透過深度訪談方法，從資訊部門主管和非主管的角度，探討綠色機房建置專案計畫導入對於資訊部門組織變革的影響。
本研究根據訪談分析結果顯示，個案公司建置綠色機房的關鍵成功因素有以下四點：(1)對節能理念與堅持是個案公司在企業文化方面的關鍵成功因素 (2)專案團隊與各事業單位跨部門的協調、溝通與合作是組織結構方面的關鍵成功因素 (3)專案主管能夠領導專案小組進行跨部門的溝通與協調，並且適當給予員工激勵與鼓勵是領導能力方面的關鍵成功因素 (4)各事業單位的技術整合進而達到國際白金級的節能標準是資訊科技方面的關鍵成功因素。

he significance of environmental issues results in global supply chain changes, and thus, companies worldwide should research and develop relevant regulations that match the specifications of green products. In Taiwan, companies are pressured toward the development of and upgrade to green energy development including determining how to improve energy saving and green energy development products and services. In this high-tech era, company growth is embedded in the development of the information department. However, traditional information centers have 23% carbon emission. Thus, the manners through which traditional information centers are transformed to green ones and change affects the evolution of the information department are major research motivations of existing studies.
To scrutinize the superintendents and non-superintendents involved in the green engine room creation project through in-depth interviews, the effects of this project to the organizational transformation of the information department would be discussed.
Results show that the key success factors are as follows: first, from the perspective of organization cultures, the ideas and persistence of energy saving is a key success factor. Second, from the point of view of organizational structure, the coordination, communication, and cooperation between project and each business unit are key success factors. Third, from the leadership perspective, appropriate excitation and encouragement to smoothen communication and coordination between project team and each business unit are key success factors. Fourth, from the point of view of informative technology, the technological integrations of each business unit to the international criteria of energy saving are key success factors.
