隨著科技的迅速發展,高科技的產品越來越多,但絕大多數都是只符合一般正常人的需要,而視障的朋友們,一直以來都是處於社會上相對弱勢的一部分。為了能讓視障者也能像一般正常人使用科技產品,本論文在一個以S3C2410為處理器之發展板上搭配了文字轉語音技術(Text-to-Speech;TTS),發展出一套盲用閱讀系統。讓視障者可以藉由手指觸碰螢幕之後所發出的聲音,輕易的操控一些附加功能。
文字轉語音技術(Text-to-Speech;TTS),這是一種可以讓機器自動辨識出文字檔案的技術,可以將文字資訊轉換為閱讀式的聲音,它可應用的範圍相當廣泛,例如,氣象或報時等訊息發佈系統、電話查號系統、盲胞語音輔助系統 、有聲書等。
With nowadays development, more and more high-tech products are created and aim to make our life better; unfortunately most of them are designated for majority healthy people, not for the disabled. In order to make the disadvantaged minority to have better life just like the other healthy people, the thesis will discuss how to use the platform of Samsun S3C2410 as a CPU to develop a reading system with “Text-to-Speech” technology to help blinds. Just by touching the screen panel, the blind people will be guided by sounds and able to access any functions of products like cell phones and computers very easily.
The Text-to-Speech, is a technology that enables the machines to recognize the text file and transform the writing information into the reading -like sound automatically. It can be wide spread used in many applications and help many people to improve their quality of life, like the electronic talking books will be a huge helpful for the blind people to experience the joy of “reading”.
