  • Vietnam, one of the fast growing emerging markets in Asian region with the huge and young population (more than 90 million) becomes the potential country for business investment. In fact, the number of international visitors to Vietnam in the past six months is estimated to have reached 3.363 million arrivals, up 13.9 percent from the same period last year. The rapid economic growth rate and the fast increase of Internet users that account for 34% of population in Vietnam led Rocket Internet, the international online venture builder has long time experience in e- commerce and the presence in more than 40 countries started to set up business since late 2011.The case study will be conducted at Rocket Internet cooperation in Vietnam market. The objective is to analyze, gain deeper understanding about international strategy and summarize key successful lessons. Also, it suggests some proposals for Rocket Internet to have better exploitation in their opportunities and improve itself in order to increase market share in Vietnam. Case study and interview for key partners will be the main method to collect and analyze data. Moreover, some papers, journals and other reports have been used for reference.
    Our result to show that Rocket Internet is getting popular in Vietnam now base on the differentiation strategy such as easy using website, the clear regulation and multi marketing strategy. Moreover, the Internet users who are willing to experience new shopping form increase sharply will be the proof encourage the approach decision of Rocket Internet into Vietnam. Not only that, people and strong brand name are the key successful factors that company wants to focus on. To archive the target, the company can continue to improve the working condition, the payment system, define the main business by understanding the local customer behavior and catch the right opportunity to win the market.
