By using the Taguchi method and structural equation modeling (SEM), this paper aims to explore how different types of organizational climate affect knowledge conversion through varied types of trust and commitment. SEM has become a useful technique for researchers and increasingly is a ‘must’ for researchers in the social sciences. For analysis of multiple models, SEM could be applied but the application seems to be difficult and/or time-consuming. This study conducts 18 traditional SEM researches; it needs useful technique(s) to assume a completed result. The principles and concepts of the Taguchi method have made extensive contributions to industries. It is useful for study with various levels of factors, and has been widely applied in many industrial sectors. Applying the Taguchi method, data can be transferred to be SN ratios by the logarithm function and the SN ratios meet the additive model. Consequently, the main effect of each control factor can be obtained by average of SN ratios. Here, the Taguchi method is applied to various levels of factors with the research models of this study, and SEM is used to explore the standardized total effects of all paths in the research models. The study result reveals that applying the Taguchi method with SEM for knowledge conversion research is useful. This study has mapped how different types of organizational climate affect knowledge conversion through various types of trust and commitment. By the study result, when the effects of knowledge conversion and knowledge management performance are mainly considered and the effects to trust and commitment are secondly considered, the suitable match of factors in Taiwan could be Company Rules and Procedures Climate, Normative Commitment and Leadership Trust.
