隨著科技進步發達，國人防災意識的提升，對於消防救災層面要求相對提高，政府不斷地增設消防據點，且國內現有消防廳舍多為老舊建築，如遇强震時，建築主體結構安全堪慮，而消防人員為災害搶救第一線，消防廳舍應比一般民宅建築注重耐震能力，現況建築確已嚴重影響消防人員值勤安全，且廳舍空間亦不符需求，無法發揮整體救災統合效能，影響救災人員增額及各式救災車輛裝備器材進駐，為強化我國災害防救功能及效率，消防機關極需辦理規劃改建，以提升救災救護能量。
消防廳舍不僅代表分隊的值勤環境，更是一個消防員訓練消防技能的促成者，因此提供一個優質的廳舍環境，將更有利於消防員去創造一個健全的工作環境及更加的救災成效。因應新北市政府消防局升格改制後逐年新建2處消防廳舍，本研究針對第三大隊及鷺江分隊、第六大隊及社后分隊、第九大隊及竹圍分隊的使用者發放問卷，引入使用後評估研究方法，以消防員的實際需求及滿意度評價為研究的出發點，了解消防廳舍的使用情況及消防員的使用需求，以及他們對於廳舍的評價，由評估結果發現成功之處和存在的問題，並針對調查結果出現的需求看法及使用問題進行分析，做為未來新建消防廳舍空間規劃設計的參考。

As the technology advances and the disaster prevention awareness of people in Taiwan increases, we have higher standards of firefighting and rescue than ever, and the government continues to establish fire posts in different places. In addition, the current fire departments in Taiwan are mostly old buildings. When earthquakes occur, the main building structure might not be safe any longer. The firefighters are on the front line of disaster rescue, and we have to pay more attention on fire departments’ seismic capability than general residential buildings. In fact, current buildings have tremendously impaired the safety of fire fighters in shifts. Moreover, the space of fire departments doesn’t fit the fire fighter’s needs, which is unable to maximize the performance of rescue integration and makes an impact on the increase of relief staffs and the settlement of equipment such as every kind of disaster rescue lorry. In order to strengthen the disaster prevention functions and effectiveness in Taiwan, it is necessary to organize the reconstruction of fire departments for improving reactions to emergency.

Fire departments represent not only the duty environment of fire brigades but a place for training fire fighters and improving fire-fighting skills. Therefore, providing an excellent environment of fire department enables fire fighters to create a sound working environment and better performance in disaster prevention. In response to the restructuring of Fire Department of New Taipei City Government into two extra new fire departments, the study distributed questionnaires to the users of Third Corps and Luchiang Station, Sixth Corps and Shehou Station, and Ninth Corps and Zhuwei Station, and the method of evaluation research is adopted afterwards. Studying the actual needs and satisfaction scoring of fire fighters is the main goal of this study. We would like to understand the fire department’s conditions of service, the usage requirements of fire fighters and their feedback about their fire department. The results of study discover the existing problems and advantages. The needs and usage problems are analyzed according to the results of questionnaires, as the space design reference for upcoming newly constructed fire departments
